4. Cautions for using vacuum packaging
Household vacuum machines and industrial vacuum packaging equipment work on the same principle, but their parameters differ greatly. Leave enough seal margin and keep the seal area free of oil and moisture, or the heat seal fails and leaks. Also, more vacuum is not always better: watery foods that are over-vacuumed get their juices sucked out, which harms the seal; crispy foods should be handled in gentle or slow mode so chips and biscuits are not crushed.
